About

St. Luke Parish in St. Lucas, Iowa, is a historic Catholic church founded in 1855 by German settlers.

Located at 215 E Main, the current church was built between 1914-1915 and serves over 240 families. With a deep heritage and a history of fostering vocations, the parish has been central to the community’s spiritual life for generations. The parish school, now the site of the German American Museum, was once run by the Franciscan Sisters of La Crosse.

St. Luke’s remains a vibrant part of the Christ Our Hope cluster, celebrating its Patronal Feast Day on October 18.
